Hard luck to the minor footballers who were defeated by Michael Dwyers last Monday. After a good league campaign that saw them finish as runners up to Bray, our under 15’s got their championship off to a good start on Wednesday evening with a hard fought 5-08 to 1-12 win over Michael Dwyers in Knockananna.

Our Under 11s are hitting form at the right time of the year with a great win against Tinahely also on Wednesday making it three in a row. Big performances all over the field, and as always there was great support to see them through.

Our junior team opened their championship campaign with a great win away to Arklow last Thursday evening. With some drama and confusion reigning through at the end of the game, a retaken penalty for Arklow left us 1-15 to 1-9 winners. The juniors are home to a good Donard side this Thursday at 7:15. Well done to Cian Delaney, Liam Molloy, TJ Haynes, Shay Killoran and Jack Wolohan who wrapped up the county under 14 Development Squad season on Saturday with 4 wins against Kilmacud Crokes
