There is a men only exercise class on Monday and Thursdays for 8 weeks in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew from 10,30am – 11.30am,  this course is free.

SYMPATHY Sincere sympathy is extended to Geraldine Austin, Soldiers Bench, her family and relatives on the death of her mother Claire Blake, Hacketstown who died during the week.CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to the Wafer families Kilcavan who had great wins at the Dublin Horse show recently with their mare Parkmore Evita and her foal Parkmore Tyra in the Eventing section and Hot to Touch with her foal Quality Time in the show jumping section. Patrick won the Breeders championship  with Parkmore Jewel and her foal Parkmore Chance in 1990 and a second time in 2019 with Parkmore Evita and her foal Tyson. Parkmore Evita also won the Broodmare championships in Dublin in 2017 winning the Coote cup. Congratulations and well done to all.HERITAGE DAY Carnew Heritage club are busy getting ready for their heritage day on Sunday 18th September with the cutting of corn, an array of vintage combines, threshing of oats, all makes and models of vintage tractors are welcome, vintage cars  pre 1990, local businesses are welcome to come, contact club members for more details.
Charity Shop Clearance Sale at Carnew Community Care Village on Saturday 3rd of September from 12 noon until 3.30pm – Bag Bargains at our Bric a Brac and Clothes stands. Enjoy the Furniture Clearance with Michael Kinsella, Auctioneer at 1.30pm.  Available on the day: paving slabs, shelving suitable for sheds, for those trying to get fit, exercise bicycles and walking machines.   Plants for the autumn season at the plant sale. Bake sale for those who are fond of their cakes! TRAINING DAYWilliam Kelly from Kelly Agri Consultants will be hosting Agri-Environmental Training Scheme training day on Tuesday 30th and Wednesday 31st of Augustat the Askamore Community Centre, Gorey,Co.Wexford, Y25F6D8.This training day is for farmers interested in learning new environmental practices and standards and keeping updated with future agri-environment schemes. The training day will start at 9:30, with 3 hours in the hall, followed by lunch, then three hours in a field (location still to be confirmed). There are limited spaces at these training sessions, so please make your interest known to Eilish Kilbride at 0852156848, providing her with your herd number, the name on the herd number, your phone number and whether or not you have access to an Ag Food account.The name of the person who is on the herd number is the only one allowed to attend the training day.”

Coollattin Famine Summer School
