Climb the Wicklow hills for Jacinta’s Smile

Would you like to challenge yourself to climbing three mountains in one day surrounded by the sensational Wicklow landscape?

Jacinta`s Smile are a Nationwide registered charity for children and young adults whom have lost a brother or sister. They provide unwaivering grief support through carrying out subidised therapy, fun adventure days and creating knowledge and awareness of the effects of sibling loss.

This year Jacinta`s Smile have chosen the stunning Wicklow mountains to take on their annual Three Peak Challenge. The Great Sugar loaf, Turlough Hill and The Spink Glendalough will be roamed and crowned by a flurry of avid walkers and trekkers all looking to embody a sense of accomplishment whilst raising funds for children and young people whom are grieving the loss of a sibling.

Jacinta`s Smile was set up by three sister after they lost three siblings in both childhood and adulthood. This annual challenge represents their three siblings that have died and the mountains of grief they have faced each time. It speaks to the difficulties that are faced in grief as well as the sense that with support around you, with fresh air and by keeping moving the body that it is possible to feel a sense of accomplishment and healing and as always a sense of hope.
