Met Éireann issues status yellow High Temperature warning

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow High Temperature warning for the Leinster region, including County Wicklow as the warm weather returns.

The forecaster has said that it will be “very warm” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with maximum temperatures generally of 27 to 29 degrees.

However, daytime temperatures may not be as high in coastal areas due to sea breezes.

It added that it will remain warm at night with temperatures generally staying above 15 degrees.

Met Éireann said the impacts will be heat stress, especially for the more vulnerable of the population, a high Solar UV index and risk of water related incidents.
