A second man has been arrested in connection with an assault earlier this month in Arklow.
The man aged in his 20s is currently being detained at Wicklow Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
This morning Gardai arrested a man in his 40’s and he is currently detained in Bray Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Gardai were called to reports of an assault at a property in the Ashfield estate at around 2.30am on Tuesday 2 August.
A man in his 40s was found with wounds to his head and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
He was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where he currently remains in a critical condition.
