Sunflower Fields for Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services are about to bloom

2022 is the third year of the Sunflower Fields for Hospice fundraiser in Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services.  This year, three acres of sunflowers have been planted in two fields in Wicklow and are on the cusp of blooming, expected to be in full bloom from next week for people to enjoy.

For the second year, Joe Mahon of Scalp Wood Nurseries, Kilternan (opening on Tuesday 2nd August) is generously hosting a sunflower field and Charles Tottenham is hosting the second sunflower field near Ballinahinch, Ashford (opening on 8th August).

Both fields will be open seven days a week from 10am until 5pm (weather permitting) and no pre-booking is required.  Visitors are welcome to take photos in the field and if they would like to take some sunflowers home should bring a cutting implement along.  There are no set charges but visitors are kindly asked to donate to Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services using cash, tapping a credit or debit card or via QR code.

Visitors are kindly asked to keep an eye on Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services’ social media for any changes to opening times. Strictly no dogs allowed.
