Met Eireann issues Status Yellow Weather Alert for Sunday

Met Eireann have warned that high amounts of rainfall may cause some disruption and spot flooding across the country, with highest amounts in mountainous areas on Sunday .

Cork and Waterford have been issued with a Status Orange Alert.

The status Yellow warning will remain in place for 24 hours from 03:00 Sunday 11/09/2022 to 03:00 Monday 12/09/2022


Rain will extend nationwide on Sunday, turning heavy and persistent in places. Isolated thundery downpours are possible along with the potential for localised flooding. Humid and breezy on Sunday with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds.
