10 Free Events happening in County Wicklow this Weekend!


Saturday 1st October

Carrig Dulra Farm are holding their Annual Apple Pressing event at their farm in Glenealy. Meanwhile, over at Kilruddery House & Gardens in Bray, the 2nd of their apple pressing events takes place. Bring your own apples or buy some there. Either way, you’ll leave with some fantastic, freshly pressed apple juice.

The Harvest Festival takes place at Powerscourt Distillery. A celebration of Irish Whiskey, Food, Drink & Culture with demonstrations, panel discussions, tasting sessions, music and more.

Arklow Library are hosting an art exhibition, ‘A way home – An Sli Abhaile’, a modern folklore story of Halloween including artwork from 20 different Irish artists. Exhibition runs 1st-8th October

Aughrim Market offers a range of great eats, beauty treats, craft stalls, food trucks, music and more.

Bridgewater Shopping Centre are celebrating 15 years in Business with kids activities throughout the afternoon including a Slime workshop and science show!

Blessington Library Movie Club – includes popcorn for all! Runs every Saturday.

Sunday 2nd October

Talk and Walk event at Avondale Forest Park, Rathdrum in conjunction with IFA, Coillte, See Change and Mental Health Ireland in support of the green ribbon campaign to raise awareness of mental health and help end the stigma that can surround it.

Wicklow Vintage Club are hosting a car and tractor Vintage show at Woolmington’s Farm, Rathdrum. You can expect face painting, music, plant stalls, cakes, pony rides and welly throwing.

Hot Spot, Greystones presents Pat’s Fireside Sessions celebrating the great artists of the folk era to present day. Country,  jazz ‘n blues and ragtime,  Irish traditional songs and ballads.
