Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Kathleen Grace, Tullow/Strathnakelly who died suddenly last week and was buried on Friday.

To the family and relatives of Eddie Skipper Morrissey, Ardeen Cheshire Home Shillelagh who died recently and was buried on Wednesday in Newross.

To the family and relatives of Greg Williamson, Shillelagh/Bray/Brisbane Australia who died recently and he’s service took place in Bray.


Carnew GAA lotto was not won numbers were 1,19,23,31, lucky dips were Alison Molloy and Niamh Myers, the next draw is 24th October and the jackpot is €11,800 tickets on sale in local shops and on line.

Colaiste BHride CARNEW are holding a clothes collection in St Bridget’s Hall Carnew on Wednesday 26th October from 8am -5pm, rewearable clothes, paired shoes, handbags, belts, clean bed linen, hats, no pillows or duvets please.


There is a monster darts tournament on Saturday 29th October €10 entrance fee, in McCrea’s Bar Carnew in aid of Carnew FC club.


There is a tractor run on Sunday 23rd October at 4pm from Carnew mart, in aid of Jimmy’s Mayoral Campaign.


The lucky winners of our split the pot draw for Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew who won €320 were John,Mai and Kathleen Molloy. Congratulations. The seller’s prize was won by Calam Moynihan and the lucky dip was Kathleen Molloy.

Kilrush Drama Group – Ballyroebuck Annual Autumn Production

The Kilrush Drama Group annual Autumn production will take place in Ballyroebuck from Tuesday the 1st of November to Saturday the 6th.    A few of our experienced members are trying their hand at directing, and have chosen a few short (comedy) plays to ensure a great week of entertainment for everyone to look forward to.
