Here comes another well deserved Iriah-language offering,  following An Cailín Ciúin.

A wry,  crisp and dry comedy about a still-mourning widow.

She recognises her dearly departed husband in a dog who mysteriously shows up at her door.

Róise and Frank will get you right in the feels.

Declan Clarke from The Irish Times says,  it is “a genuinely delightful film”.

Film starts 8 pm.  Doors open 7 pm.

Children’s Books Ireland Reading Guide|Picture This

This lovely Reading Guide aims to break down barriers to children’s reading.

Picture This features over 230 recommended reads for children and young people,  aged 6 to 18.

The books have been reviewed by experts in children’s literature.

Books are included for children who may have reading difficulties.

Or whose first language is not English nor Irish.

Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2022

The Shoebox Appeal is back again for 2022.

Team Hope Shoebox Week runs from 31 October to 6 November 2022.

This year,  Team Hope aim to deliver as many gift-filled shoesboxes as possible.

These wonderful shoeboxes will be delivered to children for whom poverty is their every-day reality.

This is your chance to help a child from one of 13 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.

You can fill a shoebox yourself or you can drop off empty shoeboxes to the local team.

Details of drop off days and times will be announced shortly.

Collection point will be Hillside Evangelical Church,  Hillside Road.

Heritage crafts,  interior design,  craft consumers,  architects,  film makers, retailers,  educators and more.

Hedge Cutting Season Continues Until 28 February 2023

Landowners are advised that all hedgerows along public roads/footpaths that need trimming should be done before end February.

This includes householders and occupiers of lands.

All cuttings should be removed from the roads and verges.

Adequate signage and traffic management should take place during the trimming.

Roadside trees should be inspected and necessary action taken to prevent potential hazard.

Inspections should be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.

Japanese Knotweed SHOULD NOT BE CUT.

No ground disturbance should take place at these sites at any time of the year.

Come along to listen or play !!

All jazz instrumentalists and singers welcome.

Great opportunity to play with other jazz musicians.

Or to just come along and watch.

Please arrive early to sign in and ensure you get a chance to play.

To take part,  you need to be able to play at least one tune.

And then improvise over it.

Jazz standards like those from the Real Book series,  iRealPro app.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular jazz session to develop and bring the jazz community together.

Hot Spot Music Club|The Back Doors are Back: One Night Only|26 October 2022

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

The all brother Doors “clone” band was formed during their teens in Kilcoole.

The Meakin brothers have played many venues around Ireland.

They have a totally authentic sound and an uncanny accuracy in content and performance.

Their gigs are few and far between now because their lead singer lives in Berlin.

This is a rare opportunity to see them all back on stage again !!

Note: Limited Seating|Band will perform on stage,  not in the round.

Special set will be dedicated to LA Women.
