New Defibrillator for the Arklow area

As part of World Restart A Heart Day, Arklow Community First Responders are delighted to announce the installation of another Public Access Defibrillator in the community.

The new defibrillator is situated in the heart of Kilcarra and will provide the growing community there with the reassurance of knowing that should a cardiac emergency happen one of these life saving devices will be very close by.

The group are very grateful to resident Joe Curran for providing the central location point on his shed wall and the essential power supply to host the heated cabinet.

First Responder John Summers said

“As with all Arklow’s Public Access Defibrillators it will be available 24/7/365 should it be needed.
This is our community’s 13th defibrillator; these life saving devices are only in situ through the ongoing support and generosity of our local community. Thank you for the tremendous and overwhelming support shown to our voluntary group.”
