Rain, rain and more rain for Bank Holiday Monday

Well it has been one washout weekend and there will be no let up on Bank Holiday Monday.

A Yellow Status Rain Warning will come into effect at 7am on Monday Morning for the entire country and will be valid until midnight on Monday.

Rain over the weekend caused the cancellation of many sporting events in the county and difficult driving conditions.

TOMORROW – Monday 31st October

Rain will extend nationwide on Monday morning. There will be some heavy falls, especially in the south and southeast with localised flooding and some disruption possible. Drier, brighter weather will develop in western areas during the afternoon but rain will only slowly clear, all but the east, during the evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees, mildest early in the east, with fresh southerly winds easing through the day.
