Tattoo-Drive for Suicide Prevention returns this Saturday 8th October

JC Foundation is a new, Irish mental-health foundation, established in response to the tragic loss of John Connolly (founder of The Ink Factory) at the age of 33. The primary goal of JC Foundation is to provide 365 therapy sessions each year to 18 – 25 year olds who simply cannot afford it themselves. These sessions are provided and fully-funded by our community partners The Ink Factory & PIERCED, who are passionate about the importance of positive mental-health promotion and have already raised over €100,000 for charities including Pieta & Alone through their annual tattoo-drives.

The Foundation recognises the value of all and the importance of showing kindness to one another – regardless of gender, race, sexuality or faith. For this year’s campaign, we will be holding a tattoo-drive Saturday October 8th with our partners The Ink Factory (15 Wellington Quay & 19 Parliament Street). Our partners PIERCED will also be donating a percentage of their proceeds on the day (locations in Camden Street, Cork City, Jervis Shopping Centre & The Square Towncentre, Tallaght).

Previous campaigns have featured slogans & tattoo designs like a love heart or the script designs “be kind”, “self-love” or “hope”. This year, we are proud to offer two different tattoo designs; “Care” (€50.00 donation) and “Stay Strong” (€100.00 donation) to encourage caring for yourself and others and also to support those to stay strong during these tough times. We’re also offering last year’s popular love heart design (€50.00 donation). Through this campaign, we aim to raise €20,000 to fund 365 therapy sessions for young adults in Ireland.
