You might recognise the name Ewa Howell as it is only 5 short weeks since we shared her story on becoming the new ISKA ladies amateur K1 kickboxing 60kg Irish Champion.

Well, young Eva from Arklow has just gained her 2nd Irish Kickboxing title! On 22nd October she became the ladies amateur featherweight low kick Irish champion. Eva represents Naas Kickboxing & Gym having moved from to Naas to work in a laboratory analysing test results during the covid crisis.

Understandably, Evas mum Angie was extremely proud when we spoke with her and told us that Eva didn’t really want to publicise her win but had finally allowed her mum to contact us with the wonderful news. Keep it up Eva, it’s great to have such inspiring athletes coming out of County Wicklow to encourage and inspire many generations behind you!

Today, she and her team mates travel to Thailand to train in the martial art of Muay thai. We wish them a safe trip!
