ASL Safety & Training continues expansion of on & off shore renewables education & training offering at Arklow centre of excellence & satellite sites

ASL SAFETY & TRAINING(RENEWABLES) has announced yesterday 11.11.22 that it
has further expanded its offshore, marine & renewables training offering.

Following further rigorous auditing by the Global Wind Organisation, ASL has been further
accredited to deliver all of the GWO BASIC TECHNICAL TRAINING(BTT) required for entry to
the Wind Turbine Technician and associated careers. This is the International Industry
Gold Standard which will allow our trainees to freely work internationally.
These training programmes are required for all working both on & offshore in the wind

Our continued expansion of these training programmes forms part of an ongoing
investment programme in our people, plant and premises by ASL to prepare for the new
opportunities that are fast becoming available off our coasts nationally.

Following receipt of the approval, Mark Corcoran, Managing Director at ASL said;
“This accreditation will help us continue to broaden our training & education offering from
our Arklow Marine & Offshore Centre of Excellence, we have been involved in the supply
chain for the wider wind industry for years and we have been lucky enough to have built a
strong reputation with existing and more recently with several new clients, these Basic
Technical Training programmes will allow us to continue to add value for our clients in the
on & offshore wind sector.

Over the last several years we have continued investing heavily in our people, accreditations and premises, this continuing expansion will bring us nicely into the next phase of our plans of these plans, so watch this space!!, we are looking forward to continuing to build and broaden relationships with all stakeholders in the Marine & Offshore area and indeed to create some more local jobs at our premises.

The new programmes will launch almost immediately and will be available at our premises or at
locations nationwide when and where required.
