Emmy Award winning actress Jane Seymour is loving her stay in Wicklow

Jane Seymour OBE is currently staying in Co.Wicklow while she films Harry Wild, an 8 part mystery series set in Co.Dublin and co-written by Irish writer Jo Spain. Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn (Vikings) will be executive producers on the show alongside Seymour. The Emmy Award and Golden-Globe winning actress has visited Ireland many times over the years and even classes it as one of her ‘favourite places’.

As she has travelled to locations around Wicklow and Dublin, Seymour has made a number of social media posts declaring her love for Ireland. In one particular post, she reminisces of having been at the exact same spot 22 years previous when filming ‘Yesterdays Children.’

Born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg, Seymour opted to change her name to Jane Seymour as she felt it would be easier for her audience to recollect and of course it was the name of one of Henry VIII’s wives. It wasn’t until 1973 when Seymour played a Bond Girl in ‘Live and Let die’ , that she moved to the US and soon after became a household name.

Now aged 71, Seymour has 4 children, 2 of whom are twins and named Johnny and Kris after Jane’s good friends Johnny Cash and Christopher Reeve (who are also their respective god fathers).

In recent years, Seymour has continued to do guest appearances and appear in short series whilst remaining out of the spotlight of Hollywood. Amongst other projects, she also launched a jewellery line in 2008, is an accomplished artist and has recently launched a range of hats! Medicine woman vibes!
