Ladies Night is back !!

Wicklow County Council|Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2022

Public Consultation

“Draft” Speed Limit Bye-Laws are now available for inspection until 25 November 2022.

Greystones Municipal District,  Mill Road;  2876694,  during office hours.

They are also available for inspection on the Consultation Hub at www.wicklow.ie.

Submissions,  observations and comments may be made until 12 noon on 25 November.

They may be made online,  by email to speedlimits@wicklowcoco.ie or to WCC Wicklow Town.

Please be sure to have a look to see if these proposed speed limits affect you !!

Free Sustainable Gardening Course|Sponsored by Greystones Municipal District

Saturday,  26 November 2022,  10 am to 4 pm;  Burnaby Park and Greystones Library.

One day course will cover everything from gardenigg chemical free,  pollinator planting.

Vegetable growing,  mini pond building,  pruning,  cuttings and much more.

Course will be run by Aoife Munn,  horticulturist and environmentalist.

Course is suitable for adults who want to garden for biodiversity.

But especially those involved with Greystones Tidy Towns,  green schools co-ordinators,  allotment holders.

A full set of notes will be sent to all participants after the course.

Free Two Parking in Greystones|Four Saturdays Before Christmas

There will be free two hour parking in Greystones on the four Saturdays before Christmas.

Starting on 3 December 2022.

Special reminder that usual parking restrictions apply for single/double yellow lines and loading bays.

Please do not park in those areas as you are still liable for a parking fine.

New support group for Ukrainians started by a group of local Greystones mums.

Central hub will be Greystones Evangelical Church on Hillside Road.

First step is to put together 50 welcome packs.

Coolnagreina,  Trafalgar Road.

Wednesdays,  3 pm to 5 pm;  Fridays, 7 pm to 9 pm.

Secondary school young people now have a great space to socialise and be around their friends.

Safe space to hang out,  do homework or play games.

Please arrive early to sign in and ensure you get a chance to play.

To take part,  you need to be able to play at least one tune.

And then improvise over it.

Jazz standards like those from the Real Book series,  iRealPro app.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular jazz session to develop and bring the jazz community together.
