RTE presenter Joe Duffy will be calling for a memorial to the civilians killed in 1916 Rising including these 54 women whose names appear nowhere.
The campaign will be launched this afternoon at the Woodenbridge where the annual Armistice Day commemoration will take place.
The presenter has already written a book about the forgotten people of the 1916 rising, posting on his Twitter page Joe Duffy said “56% of the people killed in the Rising not remembered.”
