Avondale Camogie club 

The AGM (annual general meeting) will take place on Wednesday 16th November 2022 at 7.30pm at the Avondale gaa sports complex Rathdrum. 

All members and players and parents are requested to attend to make sure of the smooth running of the club for the coming year 2023.

The Avondale camogie club have also set up their own O’Neills club shop on the O Neill’s website

Armistice Day Commemoration 

The Armistice  commemoration day will be held at the world war memorial garden at the Wooden Bridge on Sunday 6th November 2022 at 2pm Guest speaker on the day is Joe Duffy from R.T.E.

Refreshments on the day will be served in the Woodenbridge hotel after the commemoration.

Thanks to all the market stall holders who supported the market that took place in the memorial park Rathdrum every second week. 

A big thanks goes to Margaret Nolan who organized the event. 

The next thing that Margaret has organised is the Christmas market which will take place on Sunday 13th November in the Avondale sports complex Rathdrum from 10am till 4pm 

Stalls are selling out fast if interested in putting a stall in contact Margaret Nolan for information. 

Fennell Hair By Aisling 

Aisling Fennell has opened a new hair salon in Slanelough Moneystown Co Wicklow. 

Here opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm.

Ballinacor Community Project  Fundraiser 

Annual candlelight walk will take place on Sunday the 20th of November at 5.30pm in Avondale Forest park Rathdrum Entry is fifteen euros per car or five euros per walker.

Refreshments will be served after the walk. 

Rathdrum Girl Guides 

Are there any young girls in the Rathdrum and surrounding area’s that would like to join the girl guides in Rathdrum.

Parish Craft Fair 

Rathdrum parish Christmas craft fair will take place on Sunday 27th November in the R.D.A hall Rathdrum from 1pm till 5pm. Fifty euro per table and what you sell is your own. Please contact Anne in the parish office for more details. 

Raffle tickets are now available in each of the three churches and from Anne in the parish office. A book of tickets is five euros three tickets in a book or two euros each. 

Annual Remembrance Mass 

Annual remembrance mass will take place on the 26 th November 2022 at a special mass on Saturday at 6pm in the parish church in Rathdrum.

Congratulations to all 54 students from Avondale Community College Rathdrum who took part in the Wicklow schools cross country running in Avondale. Congrats to the 1st year students and 3rd year girls and 2nd year boys and senior boys who were victorious in the team competition and well done to all students that took part in the event.
