Avoca Active Retirement
The committee of Avoca Active Retirement wishes all members and their families a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2023.
Avoca Courthouse
We have had a conservation assessment completed on the Courthouse and we plan on applying for funding to commence some of the work recommended by the Conservation Architect in 2023. The building is a protected structure and funding may be available in 2023.
The courthouse has not reopened following the lockdown as there were some repairs required which we have now almost completed.
We plan to reopen in 2023.
AVOCA TIDY TOWNS
Avoca Tidy Towns committee thank all the volunteers & CE workers for their time and dedication. Thanks also to Angela in Hendleys Shop and Mary in the PO who raise funds with the weekly lotto, these funds pay for the insurance on the Park & Courthouse and payment for the flowers and materials needed, plus the repairs to the courthouse. Thanks to all our supporters Shelton Abbey Open Prison, The Pure Project, Wicklow Co Co, Pobal, Wicklow Rural Partnership & Avoca Community Employment for their continued support. Thanks to Mick Fahy , Mick Wolohan, Jack Doyle, Mary Doran and Sammy Stewart and our committee who work behind the scenes. Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and prosperous 2023.
THE AVOCA SENIOR CITIZENS
We, the Avoca Senior Citizens Committee have decided that as there are still many dangerous bugs
doing the rounds at the moment it would be safer for all if we postponed our Party until next
Summer. By then (hopefully) all these nasty germs will be gone and we will be able to relax and
enjoy our special day together once more.
We take this opportunity to wish all the Avoca Senior Citizens and Happy Christmas and a Healthy
New Year. Take care of yourselves until we can all meet again.
