A new book about the Dargle floods has been released earlier this month. Written and published by local activist and writer Noeleen McManus with illustrations by Brigid O’Brien. The book recounts the stories of those who experienced the floods first hand between 1965 and 1986.
Undertaken by Noeleen in order to share the horror of the floods as they happened. “People need to know about the floods we have had and make sure that they do not happen again. New people to Bray can often have no idea that there has been this issue in Bray.” said Noeleen.
‘Never Again’ is available from Dubray Books, Tales for Tadpoles on Albert Walk, Supervalu Castle Street, Little Bray Centre and lots of general shops throughout Bray.
All proceeds from the sale of the book are going to ‘Save Bray’, the group who are currently fundraising to mount a legal challenge against the proposed new bridge over the Dargle.
