Gardai have declared Sally Gap as impassable this evening and have closed and placed signs on all roads leading to the area.

Conditions in the area are treacherous with severe icing.

Please avoid the area.

Please do not endanger emergency services who will have to rescue person’s ignoring these warning signs.

The Icy conditions are set to stay until a least next weekend.
