Astro photographer Enda Kelly of Wicklow Skies Astrophotography caught some impressive images during the recent cold snap, on Monday afternoon Snowdonia the hills of Wales were visible from County Wicklow.
Enda manged to get impressive pictures using his Canon zoom lens and a telescope to get close up pictures.
At the beginning of the cold weather Enda took pictures of the full moon with the planet Mars in the background, Astronomers called it the event of the decade and again Enda managed to capture from his back garden here in County Wicklow.
Speaking to Wicklownews Enda said “He has had the Wicklow Skies Astrophotography page going for around 3 years, One of my Moon images made it into the Dunsink observatory as part of the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies reach for the stars competition a few years ago. I’m a hobbyist astro photographer and there is an ever growing community of us in Ireland these days.”
All we can say is Enda’s pictures are out of this world, see more pictures below of Wales the moon and mars.
