Eire Óg Greystones|Ireland Lights Up

Join fellow walkers from Greytones for a 5 km walk around the town.

Walkers meet twice a week,  starting at Eire Óg Greystones Clubhouse,  Mill Road.

  • Tuesdays       6 pm.
  • Thursdays      8 pm.

Wonderful opportunity to get active in the New Year and meet new people.

Codling Wind Park Public Consultation| 24 January 2023

Codling Wind Park continues its Public Consultation process.

Face-to-face exhibition will take place at Greystones Sailing Club.

The public will be able to:

  • View the latest project proposals.
  • Speak to Members of project team.
  • Provide feedback via feedback form.

Exhibition will be open from 9 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Codling Wind Park Dedicated Public Consultations Information Clinics

You can book an appointment to meet with Codling Park Wind Farm.

Appointments are availale on the following dates.

They run for 30 minutes and are held at a location to suit.

  • 26 January              11 am to 1 pm.
  • 31 January              1 pm to 3 pm.
  • 31 January              7 pm to 9 pm.
  • 1 February              9 am to 11 am.
  • 4 February              11 am to 1 pm.

Last Wednesday of each month.

Meet your friends for delicious home-made soup and sandwiches.

Followed by tea/coffee and cake.

Dale Dicky plays the grieving American filmmaker touring the West of Ireland.

Along with her Irish assistant,  she researches the 16th century pirate queen,  Grace O’Malley.

Soon the past and the present,  myth and history,  dreams and reality begin to merge.

This genre-defying blend of psychodrama and fantasy comes from Donal Foreman.

It has been a busy few weeks for our Gardaí.

Gardaí have arrested the male involved in robbery of local business premises.

This was very traumatising for those involved.

Many trees have fallen during the recent high winds.

Greystones Fire Brigade and Greystones Gardaí worked together to respond to calls.

Special thanks to Dillon Cryan,  local tree surgeon,  for his help on the night.

Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2023 Now Open !!

Communities and heritage non-governmental organisations are encouraged to apply.

Schemes include capital projects that apply good heritage practice:

Management of places,  collection or objects,  including buildings.

Improvement of access and inclusion to heritage sites.

Scheme also supports the purchase of essential equipment.

Zoom information clinic will be held for applicatns on Wednesday,  25 January 2023 at 11 am.

Hot Spot Music Club|Full Circle|29 January 2023

Above the Beach House at Greystones Harbour Marina.

This band,  once known as The Greenbeats,  was a household name in the 1960s.

In 1978,  out of The Greenbeats,  Full Circle was born.

Intended to be a blast from the past,  they became in huge demand.

Full Circle are still playing today and adding to their already huge list of classic rock ‘n’ roll numbers.

If you are a lifelong fan of R’n’R or if you have recently discovered it,  don’t miss this gig !!
