This group,  formerly Network of Entrepreneurial Women,  is for women in business in Wicklow.

Greystones Film Club|The Cry of Granuaile|26 January 2023

Whale Theatre;  8 pm.  Doors open 7 pm.

Dale Dicky plays the grieving American filmmaker touring the West of Ireland.

Along with her Irish assistant,  she researches the 16th century pirate queen,  Grace O’Malley.

Soon the past and the present,  myth and history,  dreams and reality begin to merge.

This genre-defying blend of psychodrama and fantasy comes from Donal Foreman.

Wicklow County Council|Community Awards Scheme 2023

Grant aid is available to community groups and local organisations.

Grants,  with a maximum of €500 per organisation,  are for small projects and group running costs.

Deadline is Friday,  24 February 2023,  at 4 pm.

Late applications will not be considered.

Wicklow County Council|Community Fupport Fund 2023

Scheme is funded by Department of Rural and Community Development.

Administered by WCC Local Community Development Committee.

Applications should relate to LCDC Local Economic and Community Plan.

Two parts to the funding:

  • Grants up to a maximum of €1,000 for projects that can clearly demonstrate that they address disadvantage and fulful the objectives of the LECP.
  • Larger grants greater than €1,000 for projects that can clearly demonstrate that they address disadvantage and fulfil the objectives of the LECP.

Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2023 Now Open !!

Communities and heritage non-governmental organisations are encouraged to apply.

Schemes include capital projects that apply good heritage practice:

Management of places,  collection or objects,  including buildings.

Improvement of access and inclusion to heritage sites.

Scheme also supports the purchase of essential equipment.

Applicatioins may be submitted via the online grants system.

Deadline is 20 February 2023 at 5 pm.

Hot Spot Music Club|Full Circle|29 January 2023

This band,  once known as The Greenbeats,  was a household name in the 1960s.

In 1978,  out of The Greenbeats,  Full Circle was born.

Intended to be a blast from the past,  they became in huge demand.

Full Circle are still playing today and adding to their already huge list of classic rock ‘n’ roll numbers.

If you are a lifelong fan of R’n’R or if you have recently discovered it,  don’t miss this gig !!

Hot Spot Music Club|Blues Jam Session|12 February 2023

Come along to listen or at the Blues Jam Session.

Hosted by the Urban Mojo Blues Band.

They will play some tunes and you can play some tunes or join in.

All blues instrumentalists and singers welcome.

Great opportunity to play with other blues musicians.

Or to just come along and watch.

Please arrive early to sign in,  talk to the band and ensure you get a chance to play.

Piano,  drum kit,  mics and amps are in the venue.

However,  musicians are advised to bring their own amps and music stands.

This is a regular blues jam session to develop and bring the blues community together.
