There are numerous reports of power outages around the county as the entire Country including Co. Wicklow continues to be battered by high winds.
Outages have been reported in Greystones, Rathdrum, Rathnew, Ashford and Kilcoole and ESB crews are currently working to restore power to a number of areas.
1500 homes in Kilcoole are currently without power.
One of 3 faults reported in Greystones this evening has already been repaired with 250 still currently without power. Meanwhile, over 1000 homes in Ashford have had power restored with another 300 waiting to be restored.
Current winds in County Wicklow have been measured as high as 46km/h with met eireann forecasters suggesting winds may increase to 59km/h with gusts as strong as 97km/h.
