It’s that time of year again folks, our big Spring Clean! We’ve just had a delivery of litter pickers, gloves and bags, along with our High Viz jackets, all available from our committee.  Collection will be on Monday 27th February along our usual route, Clone Cross, Ned’s Cross, Annacurra Cross, Annacurra Community Centre, Preban Church.  We have most of the roads covered with volunteers from our WhatsApp group apart from Preban, Coolbawn and parts of Kilpipe so any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated.  If anyone would like to join our WhatsApp please message 0879039537.

Over the past few weeks we have sown a beech hedge along the fence at the entrance into the village at Annacurra cross, this was funded by a Trees Grant awarded by Wicklow County Council and is part of our overall plan for this area.  Thanks to Wicklow County Council and also Pat Kennedy who secured our new bus shelter.

Bowls Club.

There was deep sadness amongst the members of Annacurra Bowls Club when hearing of the passing of our dear colleague Kathleen Doyle.

Kathy as she was affectionately known to us, was a very dedicated and committed member of the club from the formation of our club in 1998 until she moved from the area a few years ago.

We extend our sincere sympathy to her daughter Angela, Son in-Law Vik,

Grandchildren Maya, Rohan and Arran, also her Sister and brothers, and the extended Byrne and Doyle families.

Bowls was cancelled Sunday 12th February as a mark of respect.

May she rest in peace.

Stapleton Cup Draw

The draws are being made for the Stapleton Cup mixed doubles competition, and the Betty Dalton Memorial Cup singles competition.

Best of luck to all taking part.
