Scoil Aodan Naofa Carnew Split the pot winner of €300 was David Byrne parent of Dean and Jack, lucky dip was Flynn Molloy and sellers prize was Charlie Cahill, thanks to everyone for their support the next draw is Friday 3rd February.

Congratulations to Irene Ní Chonaill, Aughrim who was this week’s winner of the Split the Pot draw of €241.  The seller’s prize went to Karen O’Brien, 2nd year student.

FOROIGE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Foroige is looking for parents and adults to help set up a youth club in Askamore for ages 12 and up

Lots of activities taking place at Carnew Community Care for 2023.

Starting on Tuesday 24th January – light exercise sessions to help everyone keep on moving, this is suitable all levels even those who don’t more a lot.

Sessions are delivered by Maire Doran, Sports Physiotherapist – a contribution of €3.50 per session or 5 for €15 is requested from participants.   

Time 11.30am until 12. 15am –  

Also starting on Tuesday 24th – Free Style Embroidery with the crafting group from 2pm to 4pm each Tuesday.  All are welcome to attend , plenty of help and encouragement will be given by those who know There are lots of materials available to help get everyone started.  Come along and enjoy plenty of social chat and a cuppa as well as the embroidery.

€20 requested toward the 6 sessions. 

Lunch continues to be served Monday to Friday at 12.15 (€7 for three courses) just call 053 9426510 to book in.

Bingo continues Wednesdays at 1.45pmfollowed by afternoon tea and our famous sitting room music, singing and fun sessions take place every Monday from 1.30pm to 3pmfollowed by tea.

Watch out for Circle Drumming starting on Wednesday 8th of Feb !

SCOR NA NOG

Scor na Nog is back on Friday March 10th in Blessington GAA club with Trath na gCeist, solo singing, figure dancing, instrumental music, ballad group, set dancing, recitation and novelty act, Carnew are holding auditions on Thursday 9th February at 6.30pm in the Club House. Congratulations to the Carnew camogie team on winning the B final replay against Aughrim recently, team was Julie Rawson, Hannah Mulroe,Tara Doran, Faye Mulroe, Grace Cosgrave, Ciara Wafer, Aoife Wafer, Erin Callaghan, Katie Wafer, Chloe Massey, Emma Kinnear, Ciara Kennedy, Emma Kelly, Aoife Molloy 1-4, Cara Molloy 1-0, subs Yasmin Dagge, Emma Kinsella, Molly Gregan, Lauren Myers, Laura Mulroe. Well done to all involved.

LITTLE ACORNS REGISTRATION NIGHT 
Registration night for September 2023 will take place in Little Acornson Wednesday 1st February from 7-8pm.

Be aware places are limited, we work on a first come first serve basis.
This must be attended by those who have already registered also to guarantee a place.
For those wishing for their child to be put on our waiting list for both September 2024 and September 2025 we do have a separate form which you need to fill in and return to be added onto our waiting list.
This is recommended as spaces in The Little Acorns Playschool fill very quickly. 

MEN ON THE MOVE 
The Mens exercise programme will resume on January 9th for 8 weeks at €40 in the meeting room in the GAA grounds for more information contact wicklowlsp@wicklowcoco.ie or contact Denise O’Shea on 0879669634 or come along on the first day and see for yourself, more men welcome.
