Arts Festival

Meeting to organise events for festival 2023 will take place on March 4th at 12noon in Seomra , Imaal Hall. All welcome.

Culture Bus

The culture bus will leave Dunlavin to travel to Dublin on April 22nd at 11am, some people are going to Bord Gais Theatre for the Four Seasons concert with Vladmir Jablokov and 45 piece orchestra at 3pm. Please book your own tickets if you wish to attend the concert, otherwise just book to travel on the bus. 0879693960.


Sympathy to Fran Gilllespie, Church Road, on the recent death of his father Frank, funeral took place in Donegal. May Frank rest in peace.

Family Fun Day

A family fun day will take place in the Imaal Hall on Sunday March 12 th from 2 -4.30. Magician, Kids Disco, Party Fun. Everyone welcome.

Donard/ Glen Camogie club will hold a table quiz on Friday March 3rd 2023 in the Glen Lounge commencing at 9.30 pm. Table of 4 €40.

Easter Catholic Festival

Arise Catholic Family Festival 2023 – Calling families to come and join the festival in Tramore, Co. Waterford as we celebrate Easter together in the Sunny southeast. Make new friends with other families, share in wonderful celebrations of Holy Mass, and experience great teaching and seminars. Age-appropriate content is offered across the age groups.

Dates April 10th – 13th 2023.

This is an initiative of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore and the Tine Network. There is also a programme for young adults. On the 11th April, there is an open evening ladies’ conference with
Guest Speaker Jackie Ascough, and on the 12th there is an open men’s evening with our guest speaker, Deacon Zoltan. It’s also possible to join with a day pass. For more details go to www.arisefamilyfestival.ie

Coffee Morning

A Coffee Morning and Raffle in aid of Breast Cancer – will be hosted by Liz Moore in the Dunlavin Parish Centre on Thursday, March 9th from 10am – 12noon.

Raffle tickets are available from the Parish Centre and shops around the town. €2 per line or 3 for €5. 1st prize is a Pamper Hamper with many other attractive prizes.

Donations of prizes can be dropped into the Parish centre, Tue-Thur mornings and home baking would be welcomed on the morning of March 9th from 9am. Thank you.

Date for your Diary

Dunlavin Graveyard Mass – will take place on Sunday, August 13th at 7pm. Please let family and friends know. Thank you.

Scoil Nioclais Naofa – are seeking a temporary care-taker (with the possibility of something longer term) 3 days a week. Duties will include maintenance of school grounds and buildings and other duties as the need arises. Contact Michael Moran on snndunlavin@gmail.com or 045401495 if interested.

Diocesan Knock Pilgrimage – which will be led by Archbishop Farrell, will take place on Saturday, April 29th. Please email knockpilgrimage@dublindiocese.ie if you have.

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje 2023

A fully escorted pilgrimage will take place from April 4th to 11th 2023.

Baby and Toddler Group

Dunlavin Baby and Toddler Group – is back in Seomra (Imaal Hall) on Wednesdays from 9:30am-12noon. Please come along for a play and a cuppa. All welcome.

Dunlavin Library’s opening hours are now as follows: Tuesday 5-8 , Wednesday and Friday 10-1 and 2-5 and Saturday 11-1 pm.

Panic Buttons – Anyone who is over the age of 65 may apply for a Panic Button. If you are interested, or know of someone who may require one and is living in the Dunlavin area, the necessary application form can be accessed by calling 086-1020303.

Used Postage Stamps – Please keep your used postage stamps for St. Patrick’s Missions, Kiltegan who use them to fundraise. Stamps can be dropped into the Parish office any time. Thank you to all who have

Libraries have re-opened . Lots of exciting books in store, especially for children.

ALONE – manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who may have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Family Carers Ireland

Family Carers Ireland are seeking volunteers in Dunlavin and the surrounding area to give 1 o 2 hours a week to visit an elderly person in their own home who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. Full

The Irish Cancer Society – is looking for volunteers to drive patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in all public hospitals nationwide. Volunteers will need their own car but all expenses are paid.

“There is a new domestic violence outreach service in West Wicklow provided by Saoirse Women’s refuge in Tallaght. We can offer confidential appointments providing support to women suffering from domestic violence in the community, including Court Accompaniment.
