Historical talk on plane crash in Wicklow Mountains

A Junkers 52 aircraft crashed in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains on the 12th of August 1946

A  short talk on the history of this event will take place on Thursday 16 February at 18.30pm in Deansgrange Library Co. Dublin.

The talk will be presented by Bill Nelson

The flight departed Paris Le Bourget airport for Dublin on 12 August 1946.

It would never arrive at its destination.

Bill will describe the events surrounding the accident.

There were 26 passengers on board.

They were French Girl guides invited by the Irish Girl guides to give them some relief from the ravages of WWII.

Due to a miracle all the occupants survived.
