Wicklow Minister Simon Harris has welcomed the official opening of Greystones Community National School last week.
Minister Harris said, “I am glad to welcome the official opening of Greystones Community National School. The opening of this state-of-the-art building will be a great benefit to every student that attends the school, and with twenty-four classrooms, it will be well able to accommodate many Greystones students. Greystones Community National School and its staff clearly demonstrate their commitment to providing the highest standard of education to their students, having received a stellar rating in their Literacy Evaluation from the Department of Education, and I know that this new building will serve a vital asset in continuing the school’s great track record. After many years, Greystones Community National School can continue to plan for their exciting future, with the foundation of a permanent home on which they can rely on.”
“I want to commend and congratulate everyone who has worked so hard on this project. Principal Rory Kinane, Deputy Principal Tara Darcy, the Department of Education and the Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board.” Minister Harris concluded.
