A random act of Crochet Kindness today in Aughrim turned out to be perfectly timed for Aughrim lady Bonita Moscos McDonald who tells us:
This morning I woke up to sad news of my mother being rushed to hospital a possible stroke. She lives in Cape Town, South Africa over 13 000 km from here. I myself had to go to work as I work in a hospital where people too need to be cared for and rely on us to provide that care.
This evening when I arrived home my partner and my daughter surprised me with this lovely gift which they found this afternoon while taking our dog for a walk around the pond. It was a gift to cheer my day. “My family found you and brought you home”
Bonita continued to Thank the anonymous gifter by saying: I wanted to share this lovely and thoughtful gift as it definitely made me smile. Thank you lovely human, your crochet kindness is a beautiful gesture, and no doubt from your heart. We have diced to put it in a frame and will hang it on the wall to always remind us that kindness comes is different shapes, forms and sizes.
May you be blessed beyond your means. – Neighbours in Aughrim.
The note which accompanied the ‘Hug’, read:
Here’s a gift to Cheer your day, Just for you to take away,
Keep it close, warm and snug, In case you feel you need a hug,
I am not lost, I am all alone,
If I made you smile, please take me home.
