Avoca GAA Nursery
Following on from hugely successful nurseries in recent years, Avoca GAA Club is proud to announce that ‘Nursery 2023’ is recommencing soon.
Tuesday, 28th March is our first night back. Nursery will run every Tuesday night thereafter from 6pm to 6.45pm. This year sees an exciting development in our club, the reintroduction of hurling, starting with our nippers and Under 7s.
The focus of ‘Nursery 2023’ is on developing your child’s basic coordination and movement skills, especially running, jumping and throwing. Fun and inclusion are at the heart of all we do.
If you know of anyone in the Avoca area whose child is 4 years old to 6 years old and may be interested, please let them know. See you all on March 28th. Ross Byrne, Nursery Coordinator

Avoca Community Hall Family Fun Day
AVOCA COMMUNITY HALL ARE HAVING A FAMILY FUN DAY TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS FOR THE HALL ON SUNDAY 2ND APRIL. THERE WILL BE LOTS OF GREAT THINGS TO DO FOR ALL THE FAMILY – EASTER EGG HUNT, FACE PAINTING, BALLOON ANIMALS, BOTTLE STALL, TEA AND CAKES, BURGERS, CAKE STALL AND MUCH MORE.
THERE WILL OF COURSE BE THE DRAW FOR THE RAFFLE ON THE DAY. EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY HAVE BEEN EXPTREMELY GENEROUS IN THEIR DONATIONS TOWARDS THE RAFFLE AND WE HAVE APPROX 40 AMAZING PRIZES.
TICKETS ARE ALREADY ON SALE IN JOHN QUINNS PHARMACY, AVOCA POST OFFICE AND DELANEYS SHOP. THEY CAN ALSO BE BOUGHT FROM ANY COMMITTEE MEMBER OR CALL UP TO THE HALL IN THE MORNINGS AND TALK TO ALICE OR CATHLEEN.
