Only a few more days until our Greystones St. Patrick’s Day Parade !!

Celebrating Ireland’s National Day.

Get your Shamrocks ready and don’t forget to dress up !!

Greystones will be the place to be for St. Patrick’s Day 2023.

Planning meetings continue to ensure the success of Greystones’ annual event.

Perhaps you or your club can lend a willing hand,  you would be most welcome !!

Please contact Joe Grennon,  086 818 1563 or joe@smaroi.com.

There has been a terrific response from clubs and community groups to participate.

There are now approximately 60 entries.

Commercial entries are also welcome.

This is the time to put Greystones on display,  with all that our town has to offer.

Response from businesses in the town for support has been excellent.

Businesses can contribute and support the parade by contacting events@Greystones.ie.

Businesses and shops are also asked to help the Greening of Greystones.

Decorate your shop or business to add to our town’s festivities !!

Our parade this year will be led by our two Grand Marshalls.

Kaci Rock and Tadhg O’Donnell.  What a great contribution !!

Our Twinning Partners from Holyhead will also be participating in 2023.

They have been loyal supporters of our parade for over ten years.

Holyhead will bring a float which will carry a specially commissioned huge Red Dragon.

The Red Dragon features on the Welsh National Flag.

The Holyhead dragon’s name is Cadwaladr and he is a smoke-breathing dragon.

Watch out for him as he makes his way through the town.

Mind yourselves and don’t make him angry !!

Be on the alert !!

Special traffic management and parking arrangements will be put in place on the day.

These arrangements will include road closures.

Arrangements are to ensure safety for participants and for those who come to see the parade.
