Cllr Stephen Stokes has welcomed an announcement that Phase 2 of the Cost Rental scheme in Archers Wood, Delgany is now open, until Monday, March 20th @ 11.59pm.
Cllr Stokes stated: “The move to bring more affordable homes to the Greystones Municipal District is warmly welcome.”
Cllr Stokes advised that the additional homes will see an additional 24 Duplexes (12 x 2 Bed and 12 x 3 Bed) come on stream. Rents will be the same as the last launch. Full details are available from https://lda.ie/affordable-homes/lda-cost-rental/archers-wood
Additionally Cllr Stephen Stokes has recommended that people look closely at the requirements of the scheme. For example the LDA has advised that a household can only enter one application for a specific cost rental property.
Furthermore the LDA have highlighted in their information that the affordability requirements are aligned to rent being 30-35% of net income. Any queries should be directed to the Land Development Agency.
