Rathdrum Historical Society

Last week Rathdrum historical society hosted a talk on Arthur Griffith by Brian Maye.

Brians talk gave a comprehensive overview of the many but often forgotten achievements of Arthur Griffith and his significant contribution to the foundation of the Irish state.

Brian also gave a deep insight into Griffiths personalities which showed him to be modest man who did not seek power or the limelight. Thank you Brian.

The next talk will be on the Jadotville siege by Leo Quinlan on the 5th April.

Followed by a talk on captain Robert Halpin in May.

Please look on the Rathdrum Historical facebook page and the Rathdrum parish Newsletter for details.

Congratulations

Congratulations to former Rathdrum Resident Beckey Cassin who has signed up with Haesved HG Kvindeelite soccer club and made her debut with her new club on the starting eleven last Sunday.  The Community of Rathdrum wishes you the best of luck Beckey for the coming season with your new club
