Arklow Centre of Excellence continues to expand on and off shore renewables education and training offering

ROBBIE O NEILL DEMONSTRATING THE VIRTUAL TRAINING ELEMENT

ASL SAFETY & TRAINING(RENEWABLES) has announced today that its has further expanded its offshore & marine training offering.

As part of our policy of research, development and innovation, we have  added in another suite of Global Wind Organisation Accredited Programmes for personnel who access Personnel Lifts as part of their work in the Wind Sector, these programmes are “blended learning courses which are partly delivered in a classroom environment and partly delivered in our Virtual Reality Simulator Suite.

In another first for ASL, Wicklow & Ireland, These new training programmes are part of an ongoing investment programme in our people, plant and premises by ASL to prepare for the new opportunities that are fast becoming available off our coasts nationally.

These new programmes were debuted to a hugely positive reception at the recent Wind Energy Ireland National Conference in Dublin.

Following the launch, Mark Corcoran, Managing Director at ASL said;

“These programmes which are the first of this type in Ireland,  will help us continue to broaden our training & education offering from our Arklow Marine & Offshore Centre of Excellence, we have been involved in the supply chain for the wider wind and marine industries for years and we have been lucky enough to have built a strong reputation with existing and more recently with several new clients, these programmes will allow us to continue to add value for our clients in the on & offshore wind sector.

Over the last several years we have invested heavily in our people, accreditations and premises, this continuing expansion will bring us nicely into the next phase of these plans, so watch this space!!, we are looking forward to continuing to build and broaden relationships with all stakeholders in the Marine & Offshore area and indeed to create some more local jobs at our locations.
