Lotto
The numbers drawn in Aughrim Sports Club lotto on Monday May8th: 4, 8, 20 and 23. The jackpot was not won. There were four match three winners: Sean c/o Eithne, DK c/o Josie O’Byrne, Derek Mc Eneff and Hannah Redmond. The jackpot for Monday May 15th is €3,500. People who support the weekly lotto are lending support to the local sports clubs who are very much part of the community.
Aughrim Town and Country Market
There are a lot of new marketeers with fantastic product and produce offerings from barista coffee, fresh biscuits, home baked cakes, artisan breads frittatas and sausage rolls, hotdogs, hand made clothing for babies, flower arrangements to beautify homes and work places. Then there is fresh from the hive honey, scents for the bathroom, lounge and bedroom in various formats. Turned wooden products and hand painted signs, bird boxes and natural healing products. Artisan bread and home bakes plus a beautiful setting to enjoy with the whole family and even to bring along the dog for a walk. The playground is a fantastic place for the little ones while the New to you Thrift shop offers bargains of all kinds for the whole family. The fishing facility is open and stocked so if fishing is your passion this is the place to be. GAA News
Our Junior A footballers were in action against An Tochar last Sunday and came away with a well deserved win on a score line Aughrim 1-15 An Tochar 0-13. This was a very encouraging performance following on from their narrow defeat to St. Pats the week before. With a number of players returning from injury we are at home to A.G.B/ Ballymoney next week and hopefully we can push on with another win.
Next Friday May 19th we have our LGFA fundraiser table quiz in O’ Toole’s .This promises to be a great night out ,so please come along and support. Tables for this event can be booked from any committee member.
