High blood pressure is a major cause of stroke.
Heart attack is one of the most prevalent risk factors in the population.
Once identified, it is easily managed.
Blood pressure check is simple, quick and non-invasive.
An irregular pulse can be an indicator of atrial fibrillation, a condition which increases risk of stroke.
The Irish Heart Foundation Mobile Health Unit is an excellent opportunity, right here on our doorstep.

Good news !!
There will be a Darkness Into Light Walk for Pieta in Greystones.
Meeting at the old cinema site on Victoria Road at 4.50 am.
Opposite Greystones Fire Station.
Walking behind Greystones Fire Brigade, proceeding under the railway bridge.
Past The Beach House and Greystones Sailing Club.
Up and along the seafront by the Cove and the Beach Bear to Greystones South Beach.
Those who, for whatever reason, are unable to participate in the walk, can join the group at the Greystones South Beach.
Sunrise is 5.42 am.
Please come along for the most important sunrise of the year !!
All in aid of a most worthy cause and supporting the Community.

Maximum grant available to any club is €3,000.
