A number of homes in the Blessington, Baltinglass and Tullow areas are without power this evening due to the current Thunderstorm.
The northern half of the county have had heavy showers this evening.
A Status Yellow Thunderstorm warning which was issued this morning remains in place until 9pm tonight.
Forecast for tonight
Tonight will be mainly dry with clear spells as showers become isolated. Some mist patches will develop. Towards morning, more heavy showers will develop near the west coast. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in a light south-westerly breeze.
