The latest edition of the very popular Wicklow Tourism Map has been launched.
Distribution of the map has already commenced and will soon be available at various points around the County, Dublin, Ireland and beyond!
The Wicklow Tourism map is widely used by visitors to find their way around the County. The map lists the many attractions, points of interests and activities on offer in Wicklow.
The production of the map is made possible thanks to the support of the local tourism trade through advertising on the map. Any monies raised are dedicated to the promotion and development of Wicklow as a tourism destination.
“There are great expectations for the 2023 tourism season in Wicklow”, said Emer O’Gorman, Chief Executive, Wicklow County Council, who added: “The Wicklow Tourism map has been a great asset over the years to help promote the many attractions, activities around the County, as well as places to eat, drink, shop and stay”.
Cllr Tommy Annesley, Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, commented: “Although internet and social media have taken centerstage in tourism promotion, a tourism map remains very popular amongst visitors. The Wicklow Tourism map along with the Wicklow Passport also have the potential to help visitors discover some hidden gems around the County.”
This year’s front cover image was provided by the Celtic Routes Project and features West Wicklow and the Blessington Lakes.
