A planning application has been received by Wicklow County Council in relation to the land upon which the old Arklow Shipping Offices stand. The site in question is located on the North Quay between Marina Village Apartments and Arklow Sailing Club. The opening of the new Landmark Arklow Shipping Building at North Beach has made the current building obsolete.
The proposed structure would be 5 storeys high and comprise 34 separate residential units, 14 x 1 bed and 20 x 2 bed Apartments with a proposed facade of neutral coloured brickwork and glass balconies.
The comprehensive application may be viewed on the Wicklow.ie website. A decision is due from the council planning department by 8th June 2023 and submissions may be made on the same website before 18th May 2023 if desired.
