Enso tops Pizza in Greystones again

It was big smiles and mouth-watering smells at Enso this week as they were voted the makers of The Perfect Greystones Pizza – for a second year in a row.

Voted for by the public, the fact that the town has seen a tripling of pizza outlets in the last five years made the win all the more prestigious.

“When we first began getting Enso ready for Greystones, there were three outlets in the town where you could grab pizza,” says founder Tim Crooks. “Today, it’s like every third business in the town has pizza. And coffee, of course.”

Sponsored by Sherry FitzGerald, the voting saw contenders such as The Pizza Truck, Pigeon House and Domino’s feeling the Greystones love, but it was obvious early on that one particular pizza joint in the town was most likely going to win.

“Seeing not only the votes but the positive comments was actually very moving,” says Crooks, as he accepted his award from Sherry Fitzgerald’s Eamonn Foley, Lydia Casey and Barbara Lennox. “It really meant a lot to us.

“The fact that we’ve won The Perfect Greystones Pizza again has, of course, made all of us at Enso very proud,” finishes Tim, “but proudest of all might just be my mum….”
