The Plaza Market|Greystones Harbour Marina|Now Open

New market at Greystones Harbour Marina is now open.

The market will run each Sunday until 27 August 2023.

Sponsored by Greystones Tidy Towns.

Offering wide and diverse activities:  artists,  crafters,  photographers,  gourmet foods.

And much much more !!

Stalls will be charged €25,  towards Greystones Tidy Towns projects.

Four stalls will be allocated each week to local community groups and clubs.

Groups can showcase what they do,  recruit volunteers and fundraise.

There is no fee and places will be allocated on a first come,  first served basis.

Anam Cara Wicklow Monthly Meeting for Bereaved Parents

Monday,  19 June 2023;  Parkview Hotel Newtownmountkennedy;  7:30 pm to 9 pm.

There will be no meeting in July nor August.

Meetings will resume in September.

June event is the monthly meeting of wonderful organisation that supports bereaved parents.

This meeting is only for parents who have lost children.

Anam Cara Wicklow offers a safe and comfortable setting.

Bereaved parents will have the opportunity to meet with other bereaved parents.

The evening is free and open to all bereaved parents.

Regardless of the age your child died,  the circumstances of their death.

Or whether their death was recent or not.

Anam Cara is the only organisation of its kind in Ireland with services to bereaved parents.

Anam Cara was launched in 2008 in recognition of the need for a safe space for bereaved parents.

A place where a bereaved parent can let the mask drop.

And where others might understand what family members and friends cannot.

Professional Facilitator will be Shirley Brennan.

Greystones Library|Nature Café|24 June 2023

Greysones Library,  Mill Road;  from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

The Nature Cafe is a space designed to allow people to come together to discuss climate crisis.

Small groups come together to answer a series of set question relating to the theme of the café.

Delgany & District Horticultural Society|Rose Show|24 June 2023

Old Schoolhouse,  Delgany;  3 pm to 5 pm.

This show will also feature a floral art exhibition and classes for a variety of other plants.

Special Annual Mass will be held in Redford Cemetery at 8 pm.

This is always a well attended event,  remembering those who have gone before us.

Turn2Me|Free Support Groups for Leaving Certificate Students and Parents

Turn2Me is a national mental health charity conducting free online support groups until the end of June.

These support groups will be a space where young people and parents can share their struggles anonymously.

Also receive tips on how to deal with stress,  panic attacks and other issues.

Support group for Leaving Certificate students runs on Wednesdays at 6 pm.

Support group for Leaving Certificate parents runs on Thursdays at 6 pm.

This is an excellent programme supported and run by mental health professionals.

Greystones Active Retirement Association Activities

Chair Yoga and Art Group will continue until 26 June 2023.

Short Mat Bowling and Bingo have finished for the season.

Those travelling on the holiday to Clonakilty are asked to meet on Monday,  12 June 2023.

Bus will leave the old Ormonde Cinema,  beside Brady’s Homecare,  at 10 am.

Access to the bus will be available from 9.30 am.

All activities will resume week commencing 4 September 2023.

Saije is an award-winning,  indie folk duo.

Their soulful harmonies,  dynamic guitar-lines and percussive breakdowns breath life into heartfelt stories.
