Blessington has welcomed a brand new gelateria to the town. Barbara opened the doors to her new shop just over two weeks ago, a dream she has had since she arrived in Ireland 7 years ago.
Hailing from Florence, which is said to be the birthplace of Gelato, Barbara says she has been well received by locals in the area and has received alot of support since the opening. She now hopes that the weather will play along and give them the some slightly more Italian weather to go along with the gelato!

Much like the cafes and gelateria’s of Italy, Pistachio opens until 9pm and with over 20 flavours available, you can be sure to find a gelato to tantalise your tastebuds when you call. They have a minimum of 9 different flavours on any given day aswell as a selection of dairy free sorbets and gluten free options.
Although their gelato is made in Co. Wicklow using Irish ingredients, they are proud to tell us that the recipe is most definitely Italian.
Along with Gelato, you can indulge in a selection of locally made cakes, waffles and treats aswell as the all essential Italian coffee.
