Annacurra Tidy Towns
Work has now started on resurfacing the Community Hall Car Park. The work will take about a week so the car park will be closed completely. A huge thank you to Annacurra GAA & LGFA for their donation of €2,000, also to Annacurra Camogie Club for their contribution of €500, to Annacurra Parish Council and Annacurra Indoor Bowls club who each gave €300. These amounts, along with the donations already made by Annacurra Badminton Club, Annacurra National School PA, our GoFundMe and from private donations brings us near our goal.
The community response has been fantastic, we appreciate that funds are precious for not just every club and committee in the village but for everyone so it’s a credit that we’ve all pulled together to get this done. We are closing our GoFundMe this weekend so if anyone else would like to contribute please use the link below or give to any of our committee members. Thanks again everyone.
Sheep show
Aughrim Sheep Breeders will hold their Annual Show and Sale on Friday, 1st September in Carnew Mart. Sheep will be penned and sold in the usual Class format. For Entry forms or further information, contact Alan Kinsella on (087) 2792157/alantkinsella@gmail.com or Carnew Mart on (053) 942 6234.
