Green Light for Baltinglass Town Centre as Urban Renewal Scheme set to get underway

Today, Wicklow Fine Gael Minister Simon Harris T.D, is delighted to announce that the Baltinglass Town Centre Urban Renewal Scheme is expected to go out to tender this week.

Working with Wicklow County Council, Minister Harris can confirm works are expected to begin on the scheme in mid-October.

Speaking today, Minister Harris said, “I am delighted to announce that the Baltinglass Town Centre Urban Renewal Scheme is set to go out to tender this week, with works expected to begin in mid-October.”

“This is fantastic news for Baltinglass, as these works will be a great benefit to the local community.”

“The focus of this scheme is to invest in our town centres, to fight dereliction and to make town centre living more attractive by investing in local amenities.”

“It is so important that we continue to support our town and village centres, ensuring that dereliction does not creep into our communities and investing in our public spaces.”

“I cannot wait to see this scheme begin to break ground and look forward to continuing to advocate and support our local towns and villages in my work as both a local T.D. for County Wicklow and as Minister for Further and Higher Education.”
