Tickets are now on sale for the “Ride a Cock Horse”, show at The Mermaid Theatre on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th September.
Scripted and Directed by active Festina Lente Board member William Micklem, the show will also include some of the students of Festina Lente. William has spent a lifetime celebrating the empowering role of the horse in our lives and the show will be a celebration of horses and riders using words, songs and comedy to produce a unique show, brought to life by a cast of fifty performers.
The horse’s story is the story of this land. Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity! Here, where grace is laced with muscle and strength by gentleness confined.
The show celebrates the horse’s story, including it’s role as horse power on the farms and roads of Ireland, and it’s more modern roles in both competition and in equine therapy for those with intellectual and physical challenges.
Proceeds in aid of Festina Lente. Equine Therapy centre who support 400 children at their centre in Bray.
