Esther Seoige spotted the ‘Heart of the Community’ competition on social media and decided to enter her own village. As a result, Roundwood Tidy Towns and Men’s Sheds have won their village a FREE Heart Day from Heart and Stroke Charity, Croí, taking place this Thursday, 17th August.
“Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading causes of death and disability in Ireland today but the good news is that 80% is preventable“
Speaking of her win, Esther has said:
‘‘We were thrilled to win this fantastic Heart-Day with Croí thanks to Benecol! We feel as a community here in Roundwood that it’s important to be heart-conscious and so a day like this could really help us on our journey to being a more proactive community. ‘together with Men’s Sheds and Roundwood Tidy Towns, we are very excited to host Benecol and Croí on the 17th of August at our Parish Centre, and we welcome anyone else interested to pop down’
