Congratulations to the Wicklow WDSL u13s who defeated Limerick at the Galway Cup.
Wicklow reached the final by beating neighbours Carlow 2-1 in the semi-final with a brace from Cian Murphy.
In the final, Wicklow midfielder Sam Conyard made the first mark on the scoreboard before Limerick responded with an equaliser to take the tie to penalties, the Wicklow side scored 5 out of 5 to win 5-4 and take home the silverware.
There was heartbreak for the U12 side who drew 2-2 with Donegal outfit Finn Harps in the final but lost out in the dreaded penalty shootout
